Cyberpunk 2077 - First Test Results
Cyberpunk 2077 was the first game I tested. Known for its demanding graphics and complex open world, it requires high-end hardware for a smooth experience.
Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with the hardware performance. While latency was acceptable and the image remained clear with a stable internet connection, the RTX 2080 struggled in graphically intense scenes.
Performance Tests:
- Medium Preset: Generally stable, but with noticeable frame drops in demanding scenes. Capping FPS at 30 improved stability.

- 60 FPS Cap: Attempting to maintain 60 FPS resulted in stuttering and performance fluctuations.

- Low Preset: Achieved consistent 60 FPS, but visual quality suffered, and some stuttering persisted, possibly due to streaming limitations.

Forza Horizon 5 - Third Test Results
Forza Horizon 5, one of the most-played arcade racing games, impresses with its stunning open world, realistic vehicle physics, and varied events.
Benchmark Results:
- GPU: NVIDIA GRID RTX T10-8
- Average FPS: 50.6 at High settings

The Future of Cloud Gaming
Cloud gaming is rapidly evolving, and while my experience with Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5 highlighted some limitations, it also showcased the potential of this technology. The ability to play high-end games on modest hardware is a game-changer, especially for gamers who don’t want to invest in expensive rigs.
However, there are still challenges to overcome. Latency, bandwidth requirements, and hardware limitations on the server side can impact the experience. As internet infrastructure improves and cloud gaming platforms optimize their services, these issues are likely to diminish.
Tips for a Better Cloud Gaming Experience
If you’re diving into cloud gaming, here are a few tips to enhance your experience:
- Use a Wired Connection: A stable Ethernet connection reduces latency and ensures smoother gameplay.
- Check Your Internet Speed: Aim for at least 25 Mbps for 1080p gaming and 50 Mbps for 4K.
- Optimize Settings: Adjust in-game settings to balance performance and visual quality.
- Choose the Right Platform: Different cloud gaming services have varying strengths. Research and pick one that suits your needs.
Final Thoughts
Cloud gaming is an exciting frontier in the gaming industry. While it’s not without its flaws, the convenience and accessibility it offers are undeniable. As technology advances, I’m optimistic that cloud gaming will become a mainstream option for gamers worldwide.
